Orbe Movet Ad Sidera

(The Earth Moves Towards the Stars)

Orbe Movet Ad Sidera (The Earth Moves Towards the Stars): with the acronym of this Latin phrase that appears on a very rare advertisement from 1950, Armando Simoni sent two important messages about his company. The first is an announcement about the revolutionary patent of the new Omas 361. The second, perhaps more importantly, is that his company Omas, founded on a solid basis of knowledge and principles, will always be aiming at continuous technological evolution through the efforts not only of the founder himself but also through all those who will follow him.

His three pillars of pen production had been as follows:

TECHNICAL PERFECTION
REFINED AESTHETICS
THE PLEASURE OF WRITING

To which was added after his passing:

AVANT GARDE IN TRADITION

to signal and confirm what he requested and hoped to be faithfully interpreted by the next generation of leadership: specifically his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, which would result in a continuous succession of unique and unrepeatable creations.
